Trouble-Shooting

If you are having trouble with this website, the below fixes might help.

I am trying to register, but the registration page doesn't appear.

  • The registration page appears as a new pop-up window. If it does not appear, try enabling pop-ups in your browser and then click on the registration page link again. OR, try pasting this link into your browser and it will appear as a regular (non-pop-up) webpage: https://ethicstraining.mq.edu.au/register.php.

The system doesn't accept my registration.

  • Have you entered information into all the required fields? Questions marked with an asterisk (*) require an answer.
  • Have you used the correct format for an e-mail address? The system rejects invalid-looking fields, so if you just typed a name into the e-mail field, it won't accept it. Remember, you do not need to enter your real name or contact info if you do not want to, you just have to enter something that looks real! So if you wrote "none of your business" in the e-mail field on the registration page, go back and change it to something like "noneofyourbusiness@e-mail.com" and see if that fixes the problem. (Warning: an e-mail address will not work as your login ID if someone else has already used that e-mail address.)

I logged in successfully, but the training module doesn't appear.

  • The training module appears in a new pop-up window. If it does not appear, try enabling pop-ups in your browser and then log in again. OR, try pasting this link into your browser and the training module will launch as a regular (non-pop-up) webpage: https://ethicstraining.mq.edu.au/training/index.php.

I was taking the training module and then left my computer for a while, and when I came back, it didn't work.

I am trying to find a particular topic on the training module. How can I search for content?

  • Soon, we will make available a PDF document with the text of the entire training module in one document so that you can easily search it. Until that is up and running, try the site map (https://ethicstraining.mq.edu.au/training/sitemap.php) to see if you can find what you are looking for.

I failed a section of the quiz, and now I can't get back in to take it again.

  • If you fail a section of the quiz, you can't go back and try it again for 24 hours. Come back and try again after 24 hours have passed. Or, you could go register as a new user (using a different e-mail address) and start the quiz from scratch.

In your e-mail, please describe the problem as clearly as you can and tell us what operating system you are using (e.g. Linux, Windows, Darwin, Mac OS, etc), what version, and also what web browser you are using (e.g. Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari, etc). This will help us understand the problem.
